Privacy policy

Who we are

AgentLinkOps is a service for planning, verifying and monitoring backlinks. It lives at agentlinkops.com (this site) and app.agentlinkops.com (the application and API). This policy covers both, and the free link check on this site. The contact address for everything privacy-related is [email protected].

The short version

You give us the links you want monitored. We check them, store the results, and show them to you. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising networks, and this site carries no third-party tracking scripts. The free link check works without an account and stores no raw IP addresses.

What we collect

Account data. When you create an account we store your email address and, if you provide one, your name. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (clerk.com) using email verification codes or Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and name; we receive nothing else from your Google account.

Workspace data you give us. The URLs you ask us to monitor: the pages where a link should appear, the destination it should point to, expected anchor text and link attributes, project and competitor domains you configure, and webhook endpoint URLs you register. This is the working data of the product.

Observation data. To verify a placement we fetch the page it lives on and record what we found: whether the link is present, its anchor and rel attributes, and a stored evidence record of the fetch. To monitor a destination we request its headers and page status. To detect backlink candidates our own crawler (LinktrailBot) fetches publisher pages that have already been selected for review; it respects robots directives and does not collect personal data from those pages.

Free link check. The anonymous check on this site needs no account. To stop abuse we keep a hash of your IP address and a cookie value, salted and day-scoped, so the raw values are never stored and the hash cannot be turned back into them. These hashes expire within 24 hours and are never joined to anything else.

Usage metering. Counts of the checks and fetches your workspace consumes, so limits and plan allowances can be enforced.

What we do not collect. No card numbers (billing is a usage ledger; payment collection is not switched on). No behavioral advertising profiles. No third-party analytics or ad scripts on this site. No biometric, precise-location or contacts data.

Why we process it

To provide the service you signed up for: monitoring the links you register, verifying placements, delivering results to you and, at your option, to the webhook endpoints you configure. To keep the service secure and abuse-free: account authentication, rate limiting and the hashed abuse keys described above. To communicate with you: verification emails, workspace invitations you send, and replies to support mail. That is the whole list. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who processes it

We run on a short list of processors, each used for the job named:

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with anyone outside this list except where the law compels it.

How long we keep it

Retention is a designed part of the product, not an afterthought:

Your data and your choices

Access and export. Your placements and their history are visible in the workspace at any time, and the API and CLI can export them. The local ledger file in your own repository remains yours; our records mirror it rather than replace it.

Deletion. Deleting a workspace removes its placements, observations, evidence and configuration. For anything else, email [email protected] from the account address and we will delete the account and its data, and confirm it.

Third-party pages. When we check a placement we fetch a page on a site we do not control. If you publish a site and want a placement rechecked or a record removed, email the address above with the URL.

Children

AgentLinkOps is a tool for people managing websites. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If the product starts collecting something new, this page changes first, with the date above updated. Material reductions in what we keep or share are also recorded here, because a privacy policy that only ever grows is telling you half the story.
